Pine Mountain Ranch has been providing private elk and bison hunting for the last nine years. Historically, Pine Mountain served as an oasis for western cattle grazing. While the ranch continues to be an essential part of a working cattle operation, it also provides an ideal environment for elk and bison hunting. The property’s wide range of terrain offers different levels of hunting. Open meadows, small ponds, and natural springs allow a more relaxed hunting experience, while thick timber and steep ravines present the ultimate hunting challenge.
Pine Mountain offers an authentic western elk hunting experience with some modern conveniences. Guests stay in heavy duty Wall tents with wood stoves and wood floors. There is a spring fed bathroom with heated showers. The cook shack is a great place to get out of the elements and socialize with the guides and other hunters.
The camp cook will make sure your tastes are satisfied from breakfast through dinner. Meals are primarily prepared on the open fire grill or baked in savory Dutch ovens. The main courses are accompanied by appetizers, homemade rolls, drinks, and desserts.
Pine Mountain Ranch can provide the hunting experience of your choice whether it is guided by horseback, on foot, or by ATV; we’ll make sure you get your trophy game. Once you’ve harvested your trophy, the guides will field dress and pack it out for you. Back at camp, the guides will take quality care of your meat and carefully skin, wash, and store your meat in a diesel powered cooler. After your hunt is complete, you can add to your adventure and enjoy trophy trout fishing, upland bird hunting, trap shooting, ATVing, or just relaxing around the camp. Most of the time hunters simply prefer a good conversation around the campfire with a full belly and listening to hunting guide, Don Jesser strumming his guitar and singing Western tunes.
We hope you’ll join us and keep in mind that your hunts can be customized to fit your wishes and needs whether it’s special food, accommodations, entertainment, longer stays, etc. Give us a call and we’ll work together to develop the experience that you desire.
Thanks,
